Gun Violence Claims Life of Black Trans Woman in Houston — Pittsburgh Lesbian Correspondents
The Crime
This weekend, Diamond Cherish Brigman, a 36 year old Black trans woman, was killed in Houston. Diamond died around 1 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The cause of death was multiple gun shot injuries.
Witnesses reported to police that a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu LT stopped near the victim, who was standing on the side of the road. A male suspect got out of the vehicle from the front passenger side of the vehicle and fired multiple shots. He then fled the scene in the vehicle driven by another person. The front passenger, who was described as approximately 5 ft 5 inches tall, male, thin/medium build, and wearing a gray hooded jacket, got out of the vehicle and shot the Victim multiple times. The Suspect vehicle fled from the scene southbound on Country Creek Street towards Bissonnet. We are seeking help from the public with this investigation.
