Each year, this wrap-up post is a challenge. The sobering reality of how many people came to read about the lives and acknowledge the deaths of trans neighbors is always difficult to process. I wrote 40 memorial posts in 2024. 33 of those posts honored neighbors who died this year. The other seven died in previous years, but their deaths or their identities only came to light this year.

28 posts on this list center the violent deaths of trans neighbors. Seven were from previous years, stretching back to 2015.

One post about the 2022 death of my mother. This was a reflection two years after her death.

Arts and Culture

One book review, really a review of the Maisie Dobbs series. That series concluded in 2024 perhaps explaining the sudden interest in a post from 2022. It is a very good series.

One review of ‘My Fair Lady’ This feels like a dark horse post. It was my first musical review in nearly a year and I poured a lot of myself into it. I was moved although I would not say I loved it. Still, connecting with readers about the local cultural scene is something I hope to reignite in 2025.

One post about the Nielsen company firing us because of COVID-19
